Laila smiled at Jordan as she positioned her arms on his body. The music had just stopped and slowly, the band playing, began to play a slow romantic musical piece.
"For the two couples on the dance floor," the lead singer of the band said, "Here's a song just for the four of you."

Jay stopped dancing has the leader of the band began to speak. He smiled has he knew this moment would happen. He pulled Siva closer has he began to slowly dance with her. Now if only Seth was here... he thought.

Eliana twirled a length of hair gently in her finger and let it fall. She sighed and took a sip of punch. There were only two pairs of partners out on the dance floor. She had to admitt, she had hoped she would be one of them. She smoothed her gown and leaned back against the wall, humming softly to herself along with the song. Jay and Siva seemed to be having a good time, as well as Jordan and Laila. She glanced up at Amy who stood a few feet away. "Dancing, who needs it eh?" She said, smiling. "Everyone knows it's better to be a wallflower." She winked sarcastically.

It had been about an hour since the dance started and Seth had just walked in. His suit was mostly neat except for his tie that he tied on loosely. He knew that Siva would be dancing with Jay so why bother showing up on time? He didn't bother looking over at the floor, he knew they were still dancing. So he got himself a drink and sat at a table away from the others with his back to the dance floor.

Alex entered the Valentine's Ball awkwardly as he had no idea what brought him there in the first place. He stared down the room as far as he can before started to walk among the people that was already there, heading towards an empty chair.

Ruby was quiet happy that Seth had walked in. She knew that Jay would soon be without Siva. That would give her a chance to hopefully step in. She waited for one of the two to notice Seth's arrival.

Not too long into the dance she noticed Seth walk in and put his back to the dance floor. Siva looked at Jay and asked, "Is there a reason you don't like Seth?"

He felt awkward and didn't know what to say. Laila rested her head against Jordan's chest, her head tucked under his chin a slighty. She her smile was a mile wide and she closed her eyes as they started to move slowly. |

I noticed the students coming into the ballroom and couldn't help but smile. I thought this ball was a great I idea and could only hope the others did has well. She noticed that Professor Sara had dressed up and came to the dance has well. "Good evening, professor." I replied has I watched her take a seat next to me. "What brings you out this evening?" I asked trying to make conversation. "I just thought I would come and see everyone outside of school wear." she answered honestly. "And there was nothing better to do." she joked. |

Grinning from ear to ear Jordan danced slowly. He was sure that Laila could here his heart racing. He wished the song would never end.

Amy noticed the big smile on Laila's face, which only made Amy grin from ear to ear. She was in a way kind of sad that she wasn't dancing, even though only two couples were, but in a way sort of glad because she didn't have twinkle toes on her feet. Amy took another cup of punch, starting to get full, she sipped it slower than the last. [/font]
Amy also noticed a new boy walk into the ball room. She didn't know whether he was a first year or someone she hadn't noticed, everyone was after all wearing masks. He eventually took a seat near the wall, where her eyes went off of his.

He wondered what would cause her to ask, then he saw. Seth had just walked in the dance, he could help but smile at the fact that he had his back to them. Jay looked at Siva, "Nobody is good enough for you. Thats why." he replied. What he said was the truth he just left another reason out of the picture. |

Sean returned the smile to Amy and walked slowly to her. "Um...well do you want to dance?" Sean asked slowly so he didn't have to repeat saying those words. Sean gulped and waited for her answer. He gulped again quickly for her not to see.

Amy nodded her head with a smile and led him to the dance floor. She bit her lower lip, a little nervous herself, and eventually put her arms on Sean's shoulders. She looked to the floor, making sure that she wasn't stepping on his toes to start and then looked into his eyes.
"Those couples who are on the dance floor deserve one more song, and then you other singles can dance with us." said the lead singer. Another slow song began to start, probably one of the last slow songs that was going to be played tonight.
