Jordan got dressed later than others. He was sure that he was going to be late for the ball, hopefully not too late he thought. He put on a tuxedo that he had worn at the last dance. Except this time he left the tie off and the clothes hanged a little more carelessly, he wanted to actually be comfortable this time around. He walked into the ballroom and scanned the room for people he knew.

Taking Siva's hand he walked into the ballroom with Siva. "You want to dance?" he asked has a song had just ended. As they walked toward the dance floor he noticed two girls, one whom he had met in Herbology class. "Good evening ladies." he said smoothly has he walked by. Jay would like to think that he was smooth but he probably wasn't has smooth has he would like to be. Has they reached the floor the next fast song came on and he began to dance.

"Hey Jay," Amy replied back with a soft smile. Amy then turned to Laila, "Hey," she replied as she took another sip of her punch. She then looked at Sean, she smiled at him, remembering him from the train. She hoped to get a dance with him, he seemed really nice, and so did Jordan, the only two boys whom seemed decent in the whole school. She sighed as she looked at her pink dress, amazed that it fit her after all these years. "So, who do you want to dance with?" Amy questioned to Laila. She took another sip of her punch and sat down in a chair.

Jordan walked over to the punch bowl and got a drink. Has he sipped on his drink he thought what he was going to say to a particular someone. He was really nervous about asking her to dance.

"Yeah, Jordan is nice, and so is Sean, but I really don't mind who I dance with, it is more fun to watch all the drama unfold." Amy explained to Laila with a slight chuckle. She looked at Jordan and bit her lower lip, when she first saw him, she had to admit that she did think he was cute and sweet, but nothing more. She smiled at Jordan and waved to him and then turned back to Laila, "Why don't you ask Jordan to dance with you?" Amy questioned as she took her last sip of punch. "Com on, I'll go with you," Amy said as she grabbed Laila by the arm.

Jordan wished that by now she would be by herself. He didn't feel like getting rejected in front of someone else. By now he had worked up the courage to ask her. He waved at Amy, put his drink down and walked over to the two. "Hey Amy, Laila." he said with a nervous smile. "Would you like to dance, Laila?" he asked.

"Is it that obvious?" he joked after her comment on him being corny. "Don't you feel weird? We are the only two dancing." He looked around the room has he danced then looked back at Siva. "Nope. I'm sure someone will join in." he stated has he twirled Siva.

Laila felt her heart race as Amy pulled her towrads Jordan. Her cheeks started to flush pink, however as she opened her mouth to ask Jordan to dance, she found that he spoke first. "Yes!" Laila cried, hoping she didn't sound too keen, "I'd love to dance." She took Jordan's hand and lead the way to the dance floor.

Amy smiled as she watched the two new dancers go to the floor. She hated playing match maker for a couple, even as friends, but she figured that it was for the best tonight. It was after all the Valentine Dance. She slowly made her way back to the punch bowl and watched the two set of couples. She grabbed a cookie and took a little bite out of it, she wasn't really hungry today and skipped breakfast and lunch, which turned out to be the turn for the worst because her stomach was starving now. She brushed her bangs out of the way of her eyes of her mask. Her emerald eyes were glowing tonight, she was open and ready for oprotunity to knock at her door. [/font]

Siva smiled has she was spun around by Jay. It was then she noticed two students walk toward the dance floor. "I guess you were right." she replied has she looked in the direction of the two. She could tell that the girl really wanted to dance. Siva was glad that others were joining them, now it wouldn't feel so awkward.

He thought he wouldn't be as nervous after asking her but he forgot one little thing. He wasn't a very good dancer, in fact he was probably horrible. "Uh, Laila. Jordan laughed has he felt more relaxed that he wasn't the only one. He stepped out on the floor ready to dance with Laila.
