The day had finally arrived. Siva had sent them owls and she made the date and now it was going to finally happen. It was still light outside and dinner had just begun. Grabbing a quick bite Siva soon headed for the outdoors. Instead on her normal school robes she had changed into jeans and a green top and sneakers. Wand in pocket she made her way to the maze. She had her eye on it since her first year and finally she was going to enter. She had heard of various rumors that there were dangerous animals in there but she knew that she could handle them. She had been practicing some defensive spells. She wasn't going to let anything get her!
Walking across the school grounds she kept an eye out for her friends that were brave and curious enough to go along with her. Jay and Jordan had agreed and she was very excited about tonight. It was two hours before curfew which she thought was enough time to get some exploring done. Now all she had to do was wait for her two friends. She had just walked up to the rather tall outskirts of the maze. Looking around she couldn't see anyone in sights. Sighing she thought it was just like Jay to be late but Jordan she had no clue. Hopefully he didn't cancel on them.

Jay was running a little late he was in a slight panic. He didn't want to keep Siva waiting but he got caught up in the hallway hiding behind a suit of armor waiting for some professors to move on from their small talk. He was out of his school robes and in his jeans and a blue t-shirt. In his comfy black sneakers he waited growing a little impatience has these professors went on and on. Couldn't they just take this conversation somewhere else?! Letting out a small sigh there was a break in the voices has they thought they had heard something. And that broke their discussion and they moved on. Good!
Taking off in a jog he made it to the front doors. It was still light outside and curfew wasn't until a couple of hours but he just didn't want to be seen leaving the castle. Creeping through the courtyard he looked around the area once more before walking out into the open space that was quite a distance from the maze. Walking fast he saw the figure of Siva standing there waiting and hope that she wasn't worried or pissed with him. Feeling his pocket he made sure that his wand was his pocket. Check. "Hey! Sorry I'm late." he apologized has he approached. Now there was only one person they were waiting on.

Siva was looking out for anyone but still no one in site. She started to walk in a lie back and forth anxious. What if this was the wrong night? What if they changed their mind? If Jay had she was going to let him have it! He should have told her sooner. Stopping for a moment she could hear footsteps looking around she saw a figure and could only hope that it was who she thought it was. For a minute she thought of what she would say if it was a professor. But she didn't need to, it was Jay. "Hey! Glad you made it!" she grinned. "Did you see another guy heading out this way? I hope Jordan remembers. We will wait just a minute then proceed." she determined. "Any ways how have you been? Haven't really seen you outside of class."

He was going to do this. Jordan was in his casual attire, jeans and a dark green t-shirt with sneakers, and ready to explore. He wouldn't normal do this kind of stuff but Siva had invited him and he wasn't going to miss a chance to go with someone. Going alone, he decided, wasn't a good idea. Leaving his dormitory he made he way carefully down the silent halls. It was dinner time after all and most where in the great hall. Getting to the doors was easy but the grounds were the tricky part. He didn't want to risk being seen so he went slowly making sure that he wasn't being followed.
Once he was sure that he was in the clear he made for the maze knowing that he was running late and hoped that they didn't leave without him. With the maze in sight he was now nervous and excited at the same time. Checking his pocket he made sure that he brought his wand. Now he was ready for an interesting night and his mind could careless if it was breaking the rules. Approaching the maze he saw two figures standing near and entrance talking. he listened for a while and recognized Siva's voice. Walking up slowly he was hoping that he didn't scare them. "Hey. Sorry about being late."

While Siva waited for a reply from Jay she saw a figure approaching just over his shoulder. There was a moment of panic. Should they run? Siva's logic wasn't very great in these circumstances. She froze for a moment and waited. If it wasn't Jordan then she would grab Jay's arm and run like hell! Slowly the figured started to walk toward them. When she heard his voice she exhaled relieved that it was Jordan. Good! Adventure time on! "You're not late, Jordan!" Siva beamed at him. The night was still young and she couldn't wait to get started. The sky was still lit and she wanted to take advantage while they could. It would be easier on the inside staying hidden from others."Jay this is Jordan. Jordan, Jay!" Siva was very happy to officially introduce them. She wanted all of them to be good friends. "Well, shall we go on?!" Her and Jay would just have to talk late but that was ok. Stepping closer to the edge of the maze the tall, thick bush like wall began to part. Taking a deep breath she walked on through hoping the boys were right behind her.

"Hey Siva! No I didn't see anyone." he responded. Jay actually hoped that this guy wouldn't show so that it could be the two of them exploring like old times but before he could respond anymore he heard footsteps. Turning around he saw a guy approaching. He could hear the excitement in Siva's voice and it was then that he knew how important it was for her. "Hey." he nodded toward Jordan when he was introduced. Away into the night they went! Siva had turned and started to walk in and he was right behind her. He was surprised at how wide the maze opened up. There was enough room for the three of the them to walk next to each other. Staying by her side he walked in and he checked behind him as the maze closed them in. This was it. This was really happening. They were going to do this now, no backing down. Taking a deep breath he looked at how tall the maze was and he was getting a little anxious and knew that at one point that they would try to close in on them. Grabbing his wand he was going to be ready for what this maze threw at them. It was only a couple of minutes before they walked up on their first split in the maze. "Left or Right?"

Keep calm. Try not to look too excited.
This was all that Siva could think about. She was trying her best to keep a straight, serious face while walking along the path with them two. She was finally doing this and she was determined to be alert and focused. She had heard rumors about the maze. This place was tricky and could be a problem for them if they weren't careful. She went over spells before she came here and hoped that it would be enough. She stopped at the first split and waited for a minute. Looking down both neither one seemed to look less threatening. "Umm, I vote the right." she responded. "Either way though."

Jay stood at the two paths looking back and forth for a moment when he heard Siva's response. Jay nodded in approval. He wasn't sure how people were to know if one path was better than the other. But that was the point right? Jay just kept his eyes peeled when he took the first steps to the right. As he walked he felt a cold breeze come across the top of the hedges in their direction. Wind eventually stopped and he continued in silence down the path with his friends. Soon they were walking up on another split in the path this time there was one straight ahead, to the left, and to the right. Jay stopped and looked down each path. This time he wouldn't choose. He waited patiently for a word from Jordan or Siva. Again the wind picked up this time from the left, this time it was a little more harsh before dying down.

Jordan nodded as he was introduced to Jay. Looking at them both he observed the exterior of the maze. With the hedges being so tall he knew that once on the inside that he would suddenly feel like an ant. Watching the hedges open he took a deep breath and took one last look at the castle in the distance. For a moment he wondered if anyone had even noticed that they were gone. Probably not. Walking through the space that had opened he was silent. One hand in his pocket he had a good grip on his wand at the moment. It wouldn't be long before it would get dark he thought. Coming to the first stop he let Siva and Jay choose. They were a year ahead of him so he didn't mind if the took the lead and they probably know more spells too. Both of them were more prepared for the unexpected in his opinion.
Taking the path to the right with Siva and Jay he noticed that the wind was starting to pick up each time. That probably wasn't good. Taking his wand out he gripped the end tightly as they came to another break. Exhaling he looked around. Having not said anything the last time he didn't want to spend this whole trip in silence. What's the fun in that? "Left?" He took a step in that direction before either of them could reply. For a moment he thought that he saw something. Walking off the path to the left the trail curved. Peering around the curve he thought he saw the tail of some creature in the hedges but before he even got the chance to find out there was another gust of wind. This time it didn't stop after a while.
Crap. Just ahead the path was blocked off with more hedges. It was a dead end he thought at first but on second look the path was closing in. He didn't know if Jay and Siva were directly behind him but he yelled to them. "Run!" He started walking backwards still in disbelief that the very path was closing in on him. Snapping out of it he turned and took off.

Siva followed along the path with Jay and Jordan she thought for a moment that this was awkward. No one was really talking. Maybe they were trying to concentrate? Considering they were in a maze that possibly had dangerous creatures in it. Coming to the path split again she was going to suggest a path but Jordan spoke up first and she went with. It's not like there is a wrong answer here. This maze was a big guessing game and a lot of wind. Walking a couple of feet behind Jordan she was going to encourage Jay to try and get to know Jordan a little. The wind began to pick up and she was just coming around the curve of the maze ready to whisper when she heard Jordan scream. Looking forward she froze for a moment watching the hedges come to a close.
Snapping out of it she started to run in the opposite direction and trying not to panic. Soon they were back where they started and Siva had no idea which direction to head in. She was going to keep running ahead and she would had if that path didn't start moving as well. With that patch closing she had to back track again. In her attempt to come to a stop she slid on the ground and fell. She let out a little yelp when her butt hit the ground. Scrabbling she tried to get up as quickly before the path closed. Getting up she made it back to the only path that was open and tried to keep running but her legs were throbbing in pain and it was hard to ignore it.

Walking down the path after Jordan, Jay saw Siva slowing down and did the same. They were turning the corner when he heard Jordan scream. Looking ahead the path was closing. He made sure Siva and Jordan were ahead of them and took off close behind them. The only thing he wish he knew was which path would be the safe one. In his mind he was going to just keep going straight and hoped the others would too. With Siva being in front he saw her heading straight but she stopped and then fell. Looking up he saw that the path ahead was closing as well. Before he could catch up Siva was back up again. Jay grabbed her arm and started down the other path with her. He knew she was hurt and didn't want to risk her falling over again. The window as blowing like crazy has they ran down the only path that was still open. Just ahead he could see that the path branched off again and was trying to make a split decision on which way to go. Coming to the end there was a path to the left and right. He only stopped because he was a little out of breath. He wasn't use to running, ok!?!! Turning around to see how close the hedges were he noticed that the hedges were closing but not in on them. The wind died down and now they were in the middle of two paths. "I... need a minute to ca--catch my breath." He let go of Siva's arm and turned toward her. "You ok?" he asked looking her over and trying to take calm deep breaths.

Thank goodness Jay was watching out for her. Siva was a little shaken up after falling and was glad he was there to help her. Limping a little she hurried as fast has possible down the path before the threat went away. It was their first real test of the maze and she was starting to realize why some people never wanted to come here. Out of breath she took a seat on the ground and examined her leg. There wasn't scratch or anything just grass stains. Taking a big deep breath she looked to the sky and exhaled glad she hadn't broken anything. The night was growing dark and soon they wouldn't be able to see without some magic. Looking at Jay who was looking over her she responded, "I'm ok. Just shaken up really." Siva smiled it off and stood up. It was really to stretch and make sure that she could continue. She didn't want to give up so easily. Her heart had finally calmed down and she wanted to get on with the program.
"Whew, that was a little close. You guys ok?" she asked before looking around and down the two paths. Taking her wand out she looked to Jordan and Jay, "We'll be needing these soon." she stated looking at the sky that was growing darker by the moment. "We should keep going. Which way?" Siva looked down the paths again and she quickly decided. "The left." she stated before started down the way. To her, there was no point in debating which way anymore. Clearly if it was the wrong way the maze would let them know.

Running isn't some Jordan did...ever. Running down this path he reminded himself no to look back. Following Siva and Jay he saw when Siva fell and went to help her. Once Jay had a hold of her arm he went ahead in front. Coming to the split he looked back to make sure that Siva and Jay were still behind him. Noticing the lack of wind he was worried they might of got sucked up in the hedges. A sigh of relief left his lips when he saw them behind him and that the hedges weren't trying to kill them anymore. He walked over to Siva and Jay and made sure that they were alright. Hearing a noise he turned his attention to the paths. For a moment he thought he heard something. Before he had a chance to say anything Siva was pressing on. Jordan shook off the feeling and started down the path after Siva. Gripping his wand he looked to the sky seeing that it was growing darker. For a moment he thought he saw something flying in the sky but assumed it was just some group of birds.

Jay crouched down next to Siva as she took a moment. He took in deep breaths while she spoke. He was glad she was ok. He would have hate to have to stop their adventure but he wouldn't continue if someone was hurt. Pulling out his wand he looked to Jordan to see that he was just fine as well. Letting Siva walk past he began to following. Wand at his side he followed the path with the two in the almost dark maze. It was getting a little too dark but he continued with the two in the shadows. Looking up to the sky he thought he heard something as well. Probably just some birds. Shrugging he moved on down the path where it split again. "The right." he said without pause. Starting to the right he finally gave in. "Lumos." Pointing his wand forward and down the path ahead Jay same the hedges move only there was no wind. Squinting has he walked ahead of Siva and Jordan. "You guys see that?" The whole path was lined with some sort of creatures that hung off of the paths on the hedges. He heard a tiny squeaking followed but more squeaks that eventually grew louder. Whatever it was it was not happy that they were disturbed. Soon what looked like a black storm was coming their way. Shielding his face he tried to get them off of him but it was a little hard to see at the moment. Flailing his arms around he could feel the cuts from this creatures on his arm and only hoped that Siva and Jordan were ok. He tried to turn around to see what was happening but it felt t\like there were hundreds of them.

Gripping his wand Jordan followed the two along the path. Soon it was getting harder and harder to see in front of them. He wasn't sure if it was a good thing for all of them to light the way but when Jay took lead he could see just fine, so maybe later? Turning down the path with Siva and Jay, Jordan followed looked down the odd path. He didn't know what it was but, the sound grew louder which made his heart race. Next thing he knew there was a swarm of some sort of black animals flying at them. He tried to shield his face but it felt like that it didn't matter. He tried swinging his arm at them but there was so many of them. Wand still in hand he got an idea. Pointing his wand at the hedge in front of him he yelled out. "Immobulus!" There was a brief flash of light and everything around him stopped. They looked like little bats but he couldn't be sure. They were all suspended in air due to his little spell casting. Thank goodness that worked out. "Everyone ok?" he asked looking around.
