It was just 15 minutes after dinner that Seth left the table of Slytherin's. He wasn't in a social mood, nor was he really hungry. School was half way over and he still hadn't seen much of the place. He didn't plan on doing anything too extreme. Just wanted to walk around for tonight. making his way from the great hall he made his way up the moving stairs until he got to the top. From the look of things the floor was empty. Since it was still winter the night was really dark by now and he thought he would give the astronomy tower a try. He was hoping one of the observation rooms would be open to look at the sky.
Walking down the corridor on the right he grabbed the door knob to find that the door was unlock. Walking in the room was dark and along the left side of the room were telescopes lined up at the windows. Closing the door behind him he walked over to see Hogwarts grounds lit by the half moon. Off in the distance he could see the quidditch pitch and another part of the hogwart's ground that he had not explored yet, the maze. For a moment he gazed out the window at the grounds.

Dinner was boring. Siva wasn't very hungry and her and Jay were just off at the moment. this caused Siva to wonder off early into the castle. She had made it up to the tower and was just walking around aimlessly. Since Jay had gotten back he had been dull. She didn't know what was going on with him but she knew that he wasn't himself. maybe it was his current situation with his parents? Last term his parents wouldn't let him come back to Hogwarts and it seemed like this term was a test. And Jay wasn't going to take any chances.
Not really caring where she was headed Siva tried one of the doors on the floor she had just arrived on. This one was unlocked. Walking through she took quick glance and didn't see anyone at first. Shutting the door behind her she began walking along the side of the room where there was a small clearing between the desk and the wall. Siva walking back and forth for a while in the same spot focusing really hard on what to do. She knew why Jay was staying out of trouble and she couldn't blame him. She would hate to have to go back home just to be home schooled. Stopping with her back to the window Siva took a deep sigh and buried her head in her hands.

For a moment Seth was mesmerized by the grounds. If hadn't seen some person walking around he might not have heard the door knob turn. Turning to the door he wondered if he was even allowed in the room. It wasn't pass curfew but he still didn't know if it was ok. Seth quickly stepped away from the door and stood against the wall. He was prepared to be caught has soon has the light was turned on. He waited in silence but that moment never came. He watched has someone entered but began to walk back and forth along the side of the room. He watched her for a moment wonder what to do. He had time to duck behind the desk but he saw no need for that. Clearly they were a student since they didn't bother with the light. Not really knowing what to do he saw this figure stop and take a deep sigh. Not know how to break the silence he cleared his throat. "Ahem!"
It wasn't loud but it also wasn't a rude 'what the heck are you doing' command either. Steeping in front of the window again he was trying to see who the heck it was but so far he had no luck. He couldn't even tell what house they were in because they had something blocking. Their arm? From the look of it there was an arm over what would be their house symbol. Guess he will just have to wait and find out.

Has Siva was very frustrated she had her face covered because she really didn't know how she was going to react. She was either going to scream or cry. Just has she felt this tension building to the very top she heard something. Her eyes were a little bit blurry because she was going to start crying. Blinking she saw a figure in front of the window. She couldn't see his or hers face but from the sound of it, it sounded like a guy. "Oh, uh. Sorry."
Siva turned away for a moment to wipe a tiny tear that had escape down her cheek. Turning back she put on a smile. She didn't want to have to explain herself. The only problem was that she didn't know what to do or say. "My names Siva." She figured that introducing herself was the right thing to do. Stepping closer she went to look out of the window. "Nice night..."

Seth stood in total silence has he watched the girl. He still couldn't figure out who the heck it was and he didn't really know why it mattered. When she turned to him again hew as wondering if she had been up to something. She had her back turned for a moment like she need to hide something maybe? When she introduced herself then decided that maybe she was just trying not to feel embarrassed because she was obviously upset over something. Seeing her walk over to the window Seth recognized her from his classes. She was just a year ahead of him. "I'm Seth" he said dryly. He wasn't good with introductions or conversation for that matter. He tended to keep his responses short for people he didn't know. Looking back out the window he nodded in agreement. It was a nice night. "So why are we inside?" he questioned softly. Seth was saying this more so to himself but a big part of himself wanted to go outside.

Siva couldn't tell if she was welcome or not. From his introduction he seemed annoyed. But then he pondered why 'we' weren't outside. Siva looked to him and then she knew who he was. He was in all over her classes only he was a year younger. Not knowing what to do or say Siva looked back outside before thinking hard. Got it! "Well, I'm going outside. And your welcome to join." she said inviting this stranger. Heading for the door Siva had made up her mind and she wasn't going to change it any time soon.
Opening the door she glanced back. She wanted to say something that would make him feel more invited to come along. And she also wanted to make sure that he wouldn't rat her out. But something made her feel that he wouldn't do that. She didn't know how she knew but she knew that Seth would keep quiet. Maybe he liked exploring just like she did! Turning back to the hallway she made her way down the hall at a slow pace hoping that he would come. She didn't really want to go along but she would if she had too. Some sort of exploring was going to happen tonight.

Seth just stared at her has she told him that he was welcome to join her. Its not that he didn't wan to but he didn't know her. Keeping quiet he watched has she made her way to the door. When she looked back he was waiting for he to say something but nothing came out of her mouth and the door closed behind her. Suddenly he realized that he could report her. A smirk appeared across his lips has he thought about telling a professor. Then again she would surely remember him and she could get revenge. Or he could tag along with her. Where outside was she going? he thought. Then he realized that he was too curious to report her and he looked back outside before going to the door.
Peeping around the corner he saw that she was just turning the corner. So she really did mean that he could come along. Walking a little fast to catch up he was walking next to her in silence. At first he didn't know what to say or what the heck he was doing for that matter. She was intriguing he decided and moved one to the one question he wanted answered. They were making their way down the moving stairs and he was looking around to make sure that no one was around. Once the coast was clear they were on the ground floor headed outdoors. "So, where exactly are we going?" he asked quietly. Looking at his watch it was still dinner time and curfew was only a few hours away so they had plenty of time he guessed. If they were going anywhere interesting he was sure that he wouldn't care when they got back. Seth actually enjoyed the thought of sneaking back in.

So far so good. They had made there way through the castle and now they were outdoors and no one had seen them. Siva was glad that she was right about Seth, well in a way. Mostly glad that he didn't report her. Siva began crossing the courtyard making sure to take a good look around and she was trying her best to hear if anyone was coming. But it was heard to do when someone was talking. Looking a little annoyed Siva stopped and stood next to one of the outer hedges to talk to Seth. "The forbidden forest." she answered in a whisper. Taking a peep from around the hedge she saw that the coast was clear and she hoped that there wouldn't be anymore interruptions at least until they were in the forest. Making her way across the grounds she walked quickly since it was an open area and she hoped that no one could see them from the school grounds.
Arriving at the edge of the forest she stopped just a feet or two in and stood behind a tree. In her mind she was some sort of spy and she was making sure that she wasn't being followed. But she was sure that she looked nuts according to Seth but she could care less. Taking a moment she looked around. It was still light enough outside that you could see a couple of feet in front of you but she knew that if they wanted to explore more that would involve more light. Grabbing her wand she turned to Seth. "Ready?" Siva was excited and there was no turning back.

Seth followed Siva to the hedge and when he heard where they were going he smirk. This is going to be good, he thought. Keeping quiet he looked around before they made the dash across the school grounds to the forest. He was a little out of breath but he tried to contain this since they would be walking later. Reaching the edge he stopped next to Siva looking in all direction in silence. Has far has he could tell they were clear. He could see anyone and he couldn't hear anything. Looking to Siva she already had her wand out.
Grabbing his wand he nodded and took a step out from behind the tree. It wasn't took dark yet so he didn't want to use his wand yet. Scanning the forest he took in the scene with a smirk. Seth was excited but he was trying to keep his cool. He didn't want to make a fool of himself in front of Siva. Walking in silence he didn't know what to say now. He figured that Siva was having good look around has well. After walking a good ten feet in it was really getting hard to see. Pointing his want at the ground he looked back to see that they were surrounded by darkness. "Lumos" Seth whispered. A stead stream of light came out his wand but it wasn't took bright. He didn't want it to be either. Looking to Siva he asked, "So what made you want to explore the forest?"

Siva followed Seth has he took the lead in exploring. She didn't mind, in fact she thought it was kind of nice of him to go first. What a gentleman! Clutching her wand she too didn't light her wand until they were a little further into the forest. Guess they thought alike has well. Just in case someone might have saw them she wanted to wait until they were completely surrounded by the dark to use her wand. Once they were Seth lit his first. Good he knew how to do something, so he could be useful.
Pointing her wand to the ground has well she did the same. "Lumos." The steady stream of light erupted from her wand to light the ground below her. Looking to him has he spoke she shrugged and responded, "Why not explore the forest?" This was just like her to answer a question with a question. "The forest is so mysterious. I bet you could come here several times and never be bored or see something different each time. That is what makes this place so exciting. What about you? Why did you want to come here?"

Seth couldn't help but smirk. He was more intrigued with her every time she spoke. He nodded at her comment on the forest. This was very true. You could come here several times and not once see the same thing. This whole place was a mystery. And that's why he liked it. "I feel the same way." he responded. Walking deeper into the forest the path was growing a little smaller and the trees were closer together it seemed. He knew eventually that their space might be limited and that it could be harder to maneuver but he wasn't going to worry about that. Has they walked in silence he was wondering what to say. The silence was a little awkward but he didn't really mind since he was listening for anything else that might be out there. "So...your in hufflepuff....what year?" he needed some sort of communication to know that she was still following.

Siva followed Seth in silence has he led the way. She wasn't sure what to say but she found herself listening hard to her surroundings. At one moment she thought she had heard something but as they kept walking it was hard to tell what it was she heard. Hearing Seth speak she nodded even though he could see her face. "I'm in my third year." she answered. "And what tear are you in Mr. Slytherin?" she asked with a hint of tease in her voice. She knew that he wasn't in her year and that he was younger than her but she still asked to keep the conversation going. As she waited on an answer she heard a little rustle of the leaves from a distance. Stopping dead in her tracks she froze and looked to her right. At the moment she couldn't see anything in the distance.
"Did you hear that?" she whispered. Siva tighten the grip on her wand that was pointing at the ground. Her heart began to race has she waited for the noise again. Just when she was about to resume talking she heard the noise again. Whatever it was it was walking over to the right of them. Siva stood still not wanting to attract any attention to herself. She didn't want to be a target in these woods.

Seth kept trudging through the forest with Siva at a descent pace. For now the trees were still a good distance apart and there was still a semi good clear path. When she answered his question and asked him the same he almost laughed at the whole Mr. Slytherin comment. Stopping for a moment he was about to answer but he had heard something. It was in the distance so it was not too close to them. Seth turned to look in the direction but he could not see a thing. He began debating whether shining his light in that direction would be a good idea or a stupid thing to do. He looked to Siva when she spoke but then he heard the same thing yet again. He waited frozen next to Siva. He figured that it was just some creature walking around but it would have been nice to know whether it was friend or foe.
When enough time had passed that was in complete silence Seth took a few steps closer to Siva. He was still looking off in the distance but he was beginning to think that whatever it was moved on. Seth kept his wand pointed at the ground when he finally answered her question. "No idea." he whispered. "You think it moved on? Shall we continue?" The best thing, he thought, was to move on to see what happened. If they started moving at so did the creature then it might be something that was after them he thought. He was debating this all in his head has he listened more but now thing happened. "It probably moved on." he spoke normally. "Lets go." he said nodded to their path that they were on.

Siva stood in silence for what felt like five maybe ten minutes. The suspense was killing her. She wanted to know what it was but at the same time, not so much. If it was something that could harm them then she wanted she wished it would piss off. If it was friendly then it was welcome to roam around them has carefree has they were. With sure that it had moved on Siva decided to follow him. She moved silently just in case. Catching up to him she was hoping that there would be enough room for them to walk side by side. Unfortunately there was only enough space for one person to walk comfortable down the path. Walking closer behind him this time Siva looked around observing the area and listening but all she could hear was forest settling down for the night.
Soon they walked up on an open area in the woods. There was a big circle where there was nothing but some leaves scattered. Across from the gap was where the trail continued. "Huh." Siva thought out loud, "Wonder what happened here?" It seemed that they deeper into the forest the less space that there was so why was this spot here? Looking around she noticed that there was another path to the right but it wasn't made intentionally she thought. "Wonder were that leads to." she stated pointing to the path. Maybe this was where some students had camped out? Maybe. It was possible she thought. Siva wanted to rest for a moment there was a lot of walking and she need to just take in the scene of the forest. Hopefully Seth wouldn't mind. Siva went and leaned up against a tree has she looked around.

Seth walked in front of Siva until the reached the opened space. Seth said nothing has she spoke. He agreed with her. Something happened here. This spot was here for a reason. Seth looked around has Siva leaned against the tree. He turned to her and was about to speak but there was a noise. And this time it was a constant noise. It sounded like something was trotting in their direction. It wasn't going at a fast rate but fast enough to raise an alarm with him. It sounded like it was coming from the path that was in front of him. "Quick! Let's hide behind some trees!" he whispered in a hiss.
Running up to Siva he grabbed her arm and hoped that she would let him take her to the cover of the trees. He didn't want to find out what the creatures was in case it was something that was going to cause them harm. Seth ran to the path that was to their right and hid behind the tree that was on the corner of the path. The tree was rather big and there was a slight ditch in the ground behind it. It wasn't too deep but deep enough for two people to hide in effectively. Jumping in he sat with his back to the tree. He was gasping for breath so he used his hand to muffle the noise. Now he waited in silence has the sound got closer and closer to the area.
