After her first night back Siva knew that she needed to write to her aunt and uncle. So last night she had wrote a letter after the beginning of term feast. A frown was worn on her face has she saw that Jay was not on the Hogwarts's Express. Siva wanted so badly for him to be back at Hogwarts. There had been talk all break long that he might finally be coming back but she didn't see him on the train. Surely if he was on the train but couldn't find her that he would have found her at the feast.
Sighing she had gotten up early and pulled on her school uniform. With just an hour or so before breakfast Siva made her way to the Owlery. The school was mostly silent there wasn't many people up at the moment. Climbing the steps she soon reached the top where she had to make a choice of picking an owl. Finding a barn owl on one of the lower shelves she tied a small note on the leg of the owl and told it where the letter should be delivered to. Finding it a treat she let the owl step onto her arm that was draped in her robe before walking over to a window. Stretching her arm out the owl flew off. Siva stood there in a trance watching has the owl took off and eventually disappeared in the sky.

Jay had gotten up early has well and written a letter has well. Getting up a little later than he wanted to he quickly got dressed and made his way to the owlery. Running up the steps he soon found himself at the owlery doors. Good he would still have time for breakfast, he was starving. Opening the door he found the room to be occupied by one other which brought a smile to his face. Siva. For a whole year he had to go without his best friend and was sad that he wasn't at Hogwarts with her. "Siva!" he said almost screaming. He was very happy to see her.

While in her trance she thought back to last term. It wasn't a bad term but she didn't have her best friend, Jay. Siva needed her best friend for the really challenging exploring. She promise hi that she wouldn't do much exploring without him. Siva missed Jay and she didn't think that he would be back this term either. Having been in deep thought she didn't hear the door open but she did hear her name being shouted by a very familiar voice. Spinning around very quickly she found Jay standing there. Leaping across the room she reached out and hugged him. "Jay! I'm so glad your back!" Upon releasing him she knew they needed to catch up immediately before classes started. "How have you been? What changed your parents mind?"

Jay beamed has he gladly received a hug from Siva. They hadn't been apart too long but he did miss her. He wrapped his arms around her for a minute then let go has she unleashed her questions. "I don't know what made them change their minds but I did promise them that I would write so that they wouldn't worry." Jay reached in his pocket to retrieve the letter he wrote last night. Walking past her he search for a owl and tied the letter to its leg. Giving the barn owl its destination he held out his left arm for the owl to walk on and his right to get the owl a treating. Feeding the owl has he walked over to the window he held out his arm for when the owl was ready to take off.
"Maybe I was just bothering them too much." he said with a grin. Hearing the wings flap he turned to see the owl taking off. "I tried to see you last night but you had already went to your dormitory. I've been ok. I'm just glad to be back." he smirked. "Only I am starving!" He walked over to her and held his arm out for her to wrap her arm around so that they could take off to the great hall.

Siva was just beaming. She was very glad to have her friend back. Listening to him she stepped out of his way o he could send his note. Then hearing that he was really hungry was no surprise. Jay seemed like he could always eat everything in sight and have no consequences at all. Wrapping her arm around his she took off with him to the great hall. Descending the steps she wondered, "Do you think your parents will ever be convinced that Hogwarts is safe?" Siva had often thought of the fact that this place might not be so safe anymore but she still wanted to be here. The thought of being at hoe all the time with no real school experience bored her Plus she had already explore her neighborhood really well. Walking around in the woods were very boring. Siva needed a change of scenery and was glad that Hogwarts would provided it! "The way I see it is that we are better banded together than all spread out, right?" Unity had to be a good thing in these days. The last thing the wizarding world needed was the every man for himself thinking. But Siva didn't really think there was a threat out there anyway.

Descending the steps in tune with Siva made Jay very happy. He missed his friend and was glad that they were picking up where they had left off. "I'm not sure if they ever will. Even now they don't seem so confident. So I promised to write them at least once a month and keep them updated." Jay sighed. This was boring to him. He didn't want to write them at all but he wanted to be here more than ever. Now that he was here he was going to do everything in his power to keep it that way. "And I told them I would stay out of trouble of course." He rolled his eyes because he knew that he couldn't keep that promise. Well at least not forever. "And your right. We have to stick together!" Jay smiled at his best friend. Finally they had reached the end of the steps and Jay let go of Siva's arm. He wouldn't mind walking that way but he figured that Siva would want some space. "So, what do you think?" he asked in a hushed voice. "You think we are in danger here?"

Siva walked with Jay has they descended the tower. Hearing what he had to do just to at Hogwarts Siva made a mental note to remind him every month to send a letter. Jay wasn't too forgetful but she didn't want to lose her best friend either. Reaching the end of the stairs she let go only because Jay did. She figured he was a little uncomfortable. Siva remained close to him since he lowered his voice. Keeping her voice lowered she said, "No. I don't feel in danger." Siva looked at Jay hoping that he wasn't worried. Siva was here last term and she felt safe the whole time. "So you can't get in any trouble huh? Guess We will have to be extra careful..." Has he voice trailed off she began to grin mischievously. Continuing down the steps soon they would reached the Great Hall. She could smell the food that filled the air. Inhaling the sweet scent her stomach rumbled a little, she was starving!

Jay looked at Siva has she felt the same way about not being in danger. Putting the whole thing behind him he walked on with Siva to the great hall. The room was already full of course and he found two seats side by side and took on for himself next to Siva. Without saying a word he dug in grabbing some pieces of bacon and toast. Has be ate a piece of bacon he spread some jam on his toast. Taking a big bite he looked over at Siva, his best friend, glad to have her at his side. Gulping down some juice he leaned over to her so that he could talk just to her. "Did you do much exploring while I was away?" he asked. He wondered if she was that brave. She was the bravest person he knew. That is why he liked her and why they were friends. He needed someone to tag along and have his back.

Entering the great hall with her bestie in tow Siva just beamed. She couldn't wipe the smile off her face and nothing was going to ruin this day. Taking a seat next to him at the Hufflepuff table she poured herself a glass of orange juice before grabbing some bacon her self and a biscuit. Of all the meals of the day breakfast was her favorite. Once she was down with this she was going to try and squeeze some pancakes in! Siva liked to plan ahead even if it was what she was going to eat next. Looking to Jay she saw that he was leaning in so she did the same. Siva nodded, "No." She felt a little ashamed but she hadn't found someone to go with her. Well she did but they didn't get anywhere.
"Oh!" Siva was mid gulp when she thought of something to say and she almost spilled some orange juice on her. Checking to make sure none was on her uniform she continued. " I did meet someone last term! He seemed to like exploring. I'll have to introduce you to him." Siva began to look around but she knew that there was no way that she could have spotted him. "His name is Jordan and he is in Ravenclaw." she continued but that was all she knew of him. "Anyways" she leaned back in. "I hear there is a maze on the school grounds that might be worth looking around for. But I did hear the creatures dwell in there and that you can get hurt." Not that she really cared. "Of course there are the dungeons has well..." Her mind wondered off before she focused on eating some more. She was going to let Jay think over that bit of information.

Jay took in the information Siva fed him. He wasn't surprised that Siva made a new friend. She was always very nice to everyone. Jay was kind of glad that they didn't get to explore though. He didn't know what he would have done if she had made friends with someone she like more. He would have been quite jealous. Gulping down some orange juice he nodded has he read about the maze that was on the school grounds. With a raised eyebrow he wanted to know more of course. "The maze...." he was pondering out loud. "That sounds like a good place to go. Wonder what creatures are in there?" Taking a bite of some more bacon he thought this over. He would like to know of course just in case they needed to use some defense spells he would have to brush up on some. For a moment he was in a small trance has he thought hard occasionally taking a bite of his food. "This maze sounds like a good one to start with." he commented. By now breakfast was coming to an end. Groups of people broke off to go to their first class. "What do you think?" he asked turning to Siva.

Siva smiled over at Jay has he took in the news. Siva watched has people got up to leave and knew they had plenty of time still. Turning back to Jay she nodded in agreement. "I think its a good start!" Siva smiled. "Only, I would like to invite Jordan. The ravenclaw guy I was telling you about." She didn't know why she felt the need to invite him but she just had to. Siva knew when she came to Hogwarts things would change. She was always that Jay would make friends that she didn't like and he would just forget all about her. She figured the least she could do was make a friend that they could both have in common. "What do you say?"

Jay groaned, he was really hoping that it would be just the two of them. Jay looked to Siva, saw that she was serious and nodded. "Is he cool?" Yes, he knew that he sounded cheesy but he needed to know that this ravenclaw guy wasn't going to rat them out. "You need to be sure before you invite him. That's all." Other than that he was good to go on their adventure. Seeing that it was closer to him Jay finished his plate of a delicious breakfast. Drinking another cup of orange juice he was waiting for Siva to finish. "Are you sure you want him to come?"

Siva nodded at Jay's last question. She finished up her drink before adding, "Yes, I'm sure. Ans yes he is cool." Wiping er mouth with a napkin she was ready for the first day of class! "Come on!" she said has she got up from the hufflepuff table. She started down the great hall toward the big double doors that led to the halls of Hogwarts. "Don't worry. Once you meet him I'm sure you will see how 'cool' this guy is." Siva faced Jay with a big grin on her face.
