Laila's quill flourished as she scribbled the last few lines of a letter she was writing to her mother. Not that she'll read it, she thought bitterly. She threw the quill down as she read and re-read the letter making sure it all made sense before rolling it up, tying a piece of string around it and placing it on her bedside table. She would owl it later. Laila was sitting on her bed and had her potions text book resting on her knees. She flicked through it mindlessly looking at a few of the diagrams before tossing it off her bed and scrambling out of it. Grabbing her toiletries and a towel she drifted into the bathroom. After a nice, long, relaxing shower she stepped out and wrapped the towel around her body and walked back into the dormitory where she sorted through her clothes, deciding she would need to do a load or two of washing sometime over the weekend and grabbing a shirt and a denim skirt which she wore with a pair of black tights. The weather was warming up, but not quite warm enough. She pulled a cardigan over her shoulders and her decided to take a book out to the lake. Grabbing her old copy of 'Twilight' which she had read countless times over and over again she pushed her feet into her flats and made her way down to the lake.
Finding a nice shady spot beneath a tree but still in the warmth of the sun Laila lay herself down on her stomach and propped herself up on her shoulders. She looked up over the lake and admired the beauty of it and her mind began to wander. She started to think about Jordan and how long it had been since she'd seen him. She was really missing him. She closed her eyes and thought about the first time they'd kissed, it brought a cute smile to her face. But after a few moments of that she started to think about Ruby. Did she still hate her? No that wasn't right, she was sure Ruby never hated her. But there was always that tension between them, that forced smile she always received whenever she greeted her fellow Ravenclaw. She sighed. Maybe one day they could be friends again.
Laila finally opened her book and began to read, stopping every now and then to watch students walk by or to think about a new thought that had wandered into her mind.

Jordan was suddenly awaken by something hitting him in the face. Brushing the item off his face and rubbed his eyes. Looking around there was an owl perched in front of him on the edge of the bed. Next to him laid the letter it had for him. Getting up he only had a loose t-shirt and a pair of black and white pajama pants on. Looking in the bedside table he saw out that the owl was still waiting. Finding a couple old treats from the last owl visit he gave it some treats so it would go on. "Stubborn owl", he grumbled has he watched it fly off. Grabbing the note he read it quickly learning that the family was checking up on him. Tossing it on the bed he would reply later.
Over the last month or so Jordan wasn't himself. In fact he was a little depressed. He was a little worried about Laila and couldn't keep his mind off her. He just need to see her, hug her. His mind swarmed with memories of when they first met. Their first dance, kiss. Sighing he saw that it was just a little afternoon. Since he was wide awake he decided to go ahead and get dressed for the day. Changing into black skinny jeans and a black shirt with a gray skull on his right shoulder, he complete the outfit with a pair of black sneakers with hot pink shoe laces. Making his way to the great hall only to change his mind. He wasn't hungry at the moment. Heading outdoors he squinted has the sun shined in his face. The day was bright and fairly warm. Heading no where in particular he seemed to drift off in his mind . Jordan keep walking past a set of trees toward the lake, still busy with random thoughts.

As Laila turned the page she looked up as another student walked by. She absent mindedly looked back at her book before her brain had time to process what she'd seen. She quickly looked back at the lone figure dressed in back. She had to squint a little to make sure it was who she thought it was. Of course it was. A great big smile broke out across her face and she jumped up. Leaving her things behind Laila ran towards Jordan. Calling out his name as she went. When he didn't hear her she didn't call out again, instead, she reached him and flung her arms himm. "I've missed you," she whispered in his ears.

Jordan groaned a little has he moved on walking further on the grounds. He was in a deep thought and was too occupied to hear the call of hos name. She wasn't made at him was she? Did he say or do to hurt her? The last that he could remember was that they just hadn't seen much of each other. He swore to spend more time with her if he every saw her again. He was going to just embrace her and never let go!
Letting out a little sigh he paused before he felt arms being wrapped around him. He jumped a little but when he heard the voice that followed his pupils grew large. Gasping from the shock of it all he turned around to come face to face with the very person he had been missed severely. Embracing her he closed his eyes and petted her hair softly. "I never want to go that long without seeing you again!" he replied. Pulling apart from her he brushed some hair out of her face has the wind blew lightly. Cradling his right hand behind her neck he just looked at her has he enjoyed the reunion.

Laila stayed with Jordan's arms around her and his hands cradling her head. It felt like the safest place in the world. After a few moments however she pulled away and looked up at him, smiling. She reached for his hand and lead him back to where she'd been lying. As they walked she just couldn't wipe the smile from her face. She was so glad that she was with him. "So where have you been?" she finally voiced, breaking the silence.

Taking her hand he followed her back to where she was. He too was in a a state of non stop smiling. His heart was racing at the moment has he couldn't believe his eyes. HE was trying to remember the last time he saw her but that was a bit fuzzy. Was it one of their last dates that was a term or so ago that he really spent some alone time with her. Hearing her break the silence he held onto her hand, he never wanted to let her go again. " Around I guess..." he answered vaguely. He spoke soft has he looked to her. He didn't really want to share how miserable he was without her and that he kind of just kept to himself and the dormitory. "And you?" he inquired turning to her has they stopped under the tree. His mind began to recount everything they had done. The swims in the lake, the dances, and his favorite their first date which involved his first kiss. Looking over her fair skin to her eyes he just kept thinking about how much he had missed this face.

As Laila looked over Jordan's face she reached out and put her palm on his cheek. She leaned in and kissed him briefly before resting her forehead against his. "I've just been busy around the school I suppose," she murmured, her eyes closed. Truth be told she didn't really know why she hadn't seen Jordan in so long, they'd both been around after all. "I went back home to visit my mother during the holidays, she wasn't so happy to see me." There was silence between them for a while before Laila leaned in and kissed him again. This time more passionate. She had missed him. She had really missed him. When she pulled out of the kiss she sat down, beckoning him to sit with her.

The soft touch of her lips on his made him feel like he was floating on air. Hearing her answer made him frown a little. He couldn't quite grasp the concept of why her mother wouldn't like to see her. He wanted to be nosy but he decided that it was best that he didn't pry. He just figured that when the time came they would eventually get a little deeper into each others lives. Watching her lean in again he touch her her back lightly has he pulled her in. He never wanted to let her go. Has she pulled away he took a seat next to her. He laid out on the warm grounds with his arm propping him up. Seeing a book on the ground he asked, "What were you reading?"

Laila grinned, "Just Twilight," she said, reaching over for the book. "I've read it like a gazillion times but," she said, "I just wasn't too interested in reading something new and having to actually pay attention to detail, at least with this I can read the my favourite parts without missing out on parts of the story you see." They sat there in silence, Laila admiring Jordan while soaking up the sunlight. She adored the sun and had been missing out on it lately, "So what were you doing out here?"

Jordan looked over the book has she explained. He had never heard of the book so he didn't mention it anymore. Watching Laila he looked down has the sun shined in his eyes. The wind blew lightly pushing his hair out of his face. Has the wind calmed back down he thought about what it was he was up to. It seemed like the thoughts of his former closed off self was something the at was in the deep past. Truth was only minutes ago he felt like crap. "I was just..walking around." Jordan looked back up at her. Jordan looked to the lake. It had been ages since he went swimming. "Want to go swimming?" he asked looking to her. In his mind it gave him an excuse to us some magic so that they wouldn't have to walk back to the castle or anything.
