Walking down what feels like an abandoned corridor the headmistress made her way to the ballroom. No of the lights were lit at the time just the ones in the ballroom. Looking in the empty decorated room she turned back to the hall way. Waving her wand floated candles filled the walk way to the ballroom. Walking in the music had just begun has the ball had officially started.
Dressed as what some muggles would consider a traditional witch she made her way across the floor. Wear a length black dress with arm warmers that covered some of her wrist she grab some cookies off of the snack table and made her way to the seat at the front. Climbing the few steps in her black heels she found a seat at the center of the head table and nibbled on the cookies. Watching has a few people had entered she crossed her legs and began to watch the festivities.

Laila flitted around her room for a while, playing with her outfit, make-up and hair. After forty minutes or so she decided to go to the Halloween ball dressed as a fairy. She pulled her hair up and stepped into her costume. She pulled on her wings and placed her feet into her heels. She spun around in the mirror. She really did look just fantastic. She sighed while her eyes rested on her own eyes in the mirror. She wondered whether Jordan was going. She hadn't spoken to him much lately.
Laila stepped away from the mirror and made her way down to the ballroom. Only Headmistress Davis was in the hall. She smiled at her professor and stood idly along the edges of the hall. She wondered who else would be coming.

Jordan had spent many weeks debating on whether to go and finally decided that he might has well. He figured if there was no one that he knew that he would just leave. Dressed in a rather tight all black outfit he slipped on some gloves with fake scissors. He knew that he might have a little difficulty with them at first but he wasn't going to give up on going has Edward Scissorhands. Leaving the dormitory he headed to the ballroom.
Has he got closer and closer he grew nervous and he even felt like turning around. Fighting his gut instinct he walked in the room that was barely full at the moment and look around. Giving a quick glance he saw no one he knew and began to turn around. Looking up again for a moment has he turned he did see a familiar face that he had been wanting to see for a very long time. Jordan's face lit up has he quickly walked across the room. "Laila!" he exclaimed has he was five feet away from her. Opening his arms he reached out for a hug.

Laila was standing nervously in the almost empty hall. She was starting to think that tonight had been a wasted effort. She was debating with herself about heading back to her dormitory and went to get herself a drink. As she started sipping the drink she'd made up her mind. She was going to go back to the dorm. She went to put the drink down and she did so she heard someone call out. A wide smile spread across her features. She'd know that voice anywhere! As Laila turned around she was engulfed by two arms. She reached her arms out to wrap them around Jordan's waist and buried her face in his neck. "Oh I've missed you!" she cried, kissing his neck slightly. They stood like that for a moment before Laila pulled back slightly to look at Jordan's face. Still smiling she planted a small kiss on his lips and leant back again, waiting for him to say something.
