Laying down on the bed in the dorm with his hands behind his head Jordan stared at the ceiling. He wasn't really feeling up for dinner at the moment so he laid around. Looking over at the clock he noticed the time and got up to leave. Putting on his black converses he left for the astronomy tower. He picked this place since he knew it was going to be secluded later in the day.
Leaving the common room he walked past the halls that had few students still wondering them. His mind wondered to what he was going to say to Laila but he was sure that he would forget everything when he saw her. Going up the steps he felt that he was a little weak.
And he was sure that he was going to look a little sick. For once his hair was dark brown and he was sure that he lost some weight. Opening the door he walked into the empty room. It was mainly large windows with a sitting area that had couches and such. Walking over to a window he gazed out has he waited.

All during dinner Laila was just itching to head to the Astronomy Tower. She hadn't see Jordan properly in a while and was missing him. She didn't eat much, she wasn't all that hungry. As soon as she finished she dashed up to her dorm to grab a jacket before heading towards the Astronomy.
As she climbed the stairs she could see somebody already there. Assuming it was Jordan she picked up speed and bounced into the room. "Hey!" she cried, throwing her arms around him and pulling him into a big hug.

Jordan turned when he heard the door open. He didn't even get a chance to say anything before she hugged him. Not that he mind though. Pulling her close he hugged her back inhaling. He had missed holding her and the smell of her. "I missed you so much." he whispered still holding her. "Guess I owe you an explaination..."
"Um," he paused has he really didn't know how to say this. "I found out about two weeks ago that my grandmother had died." he spoke softly. Has he still held her he closed his eyes for a minute.

"Oh," Laila said quietly, "I'm so sorry," she said. She pulled out and put her forehead against his, "Is that why you've been so, so withdrawn?"

"Yeah." he replied speaking in a hushed tone. Jordan still held her has they were standing forehead to forehead. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to shut you out. I promise it won't happen again." he said. He took his right hand and ran it over her hair softly. Moving his head he kissed her on the forehead.
He really did feel awful about this whole thing. He could only hope that she would forgive him. He would hate to lose her. "Forgive me?" he asked has he looked her in the eyes. Biting his lip he waited for an answer.

The corners of Laila's lips twinged into what was a small smile, "Of course," she said, "I could never be mad at you." She kissed his nose, "Were you two close?"

Jordan smirked a little has she kissed him on the nose. "Sorta I guess. Me and my brother and sister used to always spend summers with her. She use to take us to the movies all of the time. And for some reason she always wanted to teach me how to cook." he explained. He always thought that was a little weird, he was never any good at cooking. He always seemed to do only one thing well, make a mess.
"So, how have you been?" he asked. He wasn't too sure if he was really ready to talk about her so he figured it would be best to change the subject.

"Aw that's sweet," Laila got the feeling Jordan was trying to change the subject so she went along with it. "Uhm, well school's been a drag! But I've been good," she paused for a moment, "But I have been missing you."

Jordan moved his hands from around Laila and held her hands. He was very glad that she had forgiven him and he would be very sure to never push her away again. Looking over to the sitting area he asked, "Would you like to just hang out here?" He let go of one of her hands so that they would walk over to the area where a bunch of couches and chairs sat in front of a fireplace.
Turning to her had he stopped in front of the couch. "I missed you, too." he said again. He wanted to make sure that she knew that. Taking a seat he put his hands in his lap has he looked over a Laila with a smile. He had no clue what to say at the moment but he was sure he would think of something eventually.

Laila followed Jordan over to where he was and sat down across from him. She didn't really know what to say so that sat in silence for a while. Suddenly a thought popped into her head. "Hey whens your birthday?" she asked. She couldn't remember when it was, or whether he'd ever told her before. She hoped she hadn't missed it.
