Ruby walked into the room, her bag on her back and a vial in her hand. She had just gotten back from Potions and she couldn't wait to relax. She walked over to her bed and sat the vial down on the window ledge and put her bag down beside her bed. She sat down on the bed then sighed.

--Different Day--

Ruby walked in putting her bag down next to her bed. She had just gotten back from Care of magical Creatures class. Yet it wasn't the class that got her down, it was Jordan. He didn't pay one ounce of attention to her. Wonder why?

[witchy]

Laila bounced up the stairs to her room, ecstatic about now being Jordans girlfriend, when she found Ruby sitting on her bed looking a little upset. "Hey Ruby," she said, "What's up? You look a little upset?"

[Ruby Harris]

"Oh nothing." she replied flashing a fake smile. "Well, actually...I kind of sorta like this guy and...he hasn't paid me any attention." she confessed. Shrugging it off she ask, "And why are we so happy today?"

"Oh, well that sucks. Maybe you should try talking to him a little more." Laila said. "As for me, well, Jordan asked me out and, well, I've had this huge crush on him for ages, and..." Laila was babbling, she knew it, but she couldn't stop.

[Ruby Harris]

Ruby considered Laila's advise then listened to the news she had. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. He....he...."What?" she said almost yelling. "He asked you out?" she asked has she stood up. Why? What was so special about her? She didn't even really like him that much, since she didn't know him. But, he had a choice.....and he chose her?

Laila was a little frightened at Ruby's response. What ever she'd been expecting it hadn't been that. "Um, yeah, he did." Laila said bluntly. Was Jordan the guy Ruby had been talking about? If it were Laila wasn't the least bit surprised. She'd seen her flirting with him during classes and out in the grounds, but Laila liked him as well.

"You? He asked you?" she yelled. "Are you sure it wasn't dream?" she said cruelly. All that flirting for nothing?!?! Just for some other girl to get the guy!

"Positive," Laila said, trying not to let Ruby spoil her mood. She'd had such a great time with Jordan she didn't think anything could ruin her happiness. But apparently that's what Ruby had in mind.

Ruby took a deep breath, she had to lying. "Well, we'll see how long this so called "relationship" will last!" she replied with an evil smirk. And with that she stormed out of the room slamming the door behind her.

Laila could've laughed. Was this Ruby's way of saying she was going to split them up?
"I'd like to see you try," Laila muttered.
