Ruby was in her dormitory doing nothing when it dawned on her. She could have spent some time in the library. She felt that she was behind in all her classes. Even though she was a muggle born she wasn't going to let that stop her from answering the teachers questions. When she reached the library she began to look for books on any subject. She didn't know the library well so she wondered around for the first book on any subject she could find.

Alex was never good with direction. The trip to the library that could have only taken him maybe a few good minutes lasted about 2 hours when he found himself lost after following directions he had gotten from the old man picture on the wall. Shouldn't have trusted a picture... Alex mumbled under his breathe, annoyed. He stalked into the library not looking where he was going, picking out books, pilling it on his hand until there was just too many of them for him to carry.
He was getting off balance as he tried looking for a place, or table to put all the books on. But, he didn't made it all the way when he ran into someone. The books in his head fell all over. Alex began to pick up every single books hastily. "Sorry..." He mumbled indifferently.

Ruby heard someone walking her way yet she didn't bother looking at them. Instead she keep her eyes on the shelf, she had been scanning book titles when she felt like she was attacked by a pile books. After the books fell to the floor she realized that someone had been carrying them. "Oh, its ok." She replied has she bent down and started to help pick up the books.

Alex gathered a few books on the floor aside him, stretching his hand further to grab more books. "Thanks" He said bluntly, taking the book from the girl. He picked the last book and place it on top of the other while his eyes scan the Library for the nearest table.

"Your welcome." Ruby replied quite rudely. She felt that he was being rude, so why not be rude as well? "There is table right around the corner." she stated has she moved out of his way. She looked back at the shelf continuing her search for some books.

Alex was a little startled by the rude reply, well, it was his fault mainly. He was never that good at saying thank yous. At most time, he would say it like he didn't mean it at all. "Sorry." He said, almost sounded the same with his thank you tone. His eyes darted to the table pointed and back to the girl who was already getting back to the shelf. He swore in his head, for a moment before taking up all the books. "Thanks again." He added.

"Its ok." she said apologetically. She shouldn't have been rude to him. "Sorry about being rude. Do you need any help carrying your books?" she asked. Man did he have a lot of them.

Alex shrugged a little, not sure what to respond to an apologetic gesture. He never thought much about it before. "Uhh... No." He said, uncertainly. He was already pilling up the books in his hand and starting to lose his balance again.

Ruby smiled trying not to laugh at him. She could tell that he was already losing his balance again. She grabbed some books off the pile and walked to the nearest table and set them down. She turned to see if he had followed her, she hoped he wouldn't mad at her present action. She was just trying to help.
