Amy and Millie slowly walked up the stairs to the owlery. Amy finally finished the letter for her brother and the letter for her mother. Those were the only two family members that accepted her and talked to her, and she promised that she would write to them. "Come on Millie, only a few more steps," Amy whispered to her cat, as her cat was starting to lag behind. Millie only replied with a meow, like she understood what Amy was saying.
Amy reached to the top to find tons of owls, some sleeping, some spazzing, and others minding their own business. Her eyes got big as she exclaimed, "Millie look at them, they're just beautiful aren't they?" Millie looked at them like foreign creatures, and had a few owls gave her a little squeek and Millie returned with a hiss.
Amy looked around to find the best owl out of all of them and finally found the best ow that she thought looked the strongest and the best. Her mother taught her how to send a letter, but she somewhat forgot. She called the owl to her, and at first got the wrong owl, but with time she got the owl she wanted. She gracefully tied both letters to the owl and whispered ever so softly "Bristol, England.". The pure black owl started to flutter its wings with excitement, ready to be set out the window. As Amy carefully carried the owl to the window; Millie jumped up to the window's side and sat down and watched Amy with graceful eyes. Amy finally reached the open window and let her arm out, and the owl flew away.
Amy scratched Millie's head as she stared out the window, the view was beautiful, and she could just look at it all day. Thank goodness that it was a Saturday.

Saturdays were the best for Seth. There was no class and a castle that was waiting to be explored. He was sitting in the common room waiting for the family owl. His parents were suppose to write him back to him. He hoped that his mom made some cookies for him has well.
After waiting for ten minutes he got up and head for the Owlery. The stupid owl forgot he thought has he left the common room. The family owl was a old and probably should just retire but, his mom was very fond of the owl and refused to get a new one.
Once he reached the top of the steps he noticed a girl standing by the window. He cleared his throat, to let her know he was there, and walked in. He looked up and scanned the owls for one with a message and possibly a package attached to its leg.

Amy turned around slowly and noticed a boy looking for an owl. "Hello," she said as her cat jumped down from the window. She turned her back to the window and watched the boy intently. "Amy," she exclaimed, trying not to be rude.

"Hi." Seth replied, he was still looking around for the family owl. From what he could tell, it wasn't there. "I'm Seth." he said has he walked further into the room. He turned to her and asked, "Have you seen an owl with a package attached to it?"

Amy started helping Seth looking for his owl, hoping that it wasn't the one that she sent off. She didn't see a package attached to the owl, but she was afraid it could have fallen off some how. "What does it look like?" she questioned. Amy's cat wasn't helping though, Millie was more hissing and fussing with the owls. Luckily, pretty much nothing could scare them, especially a cat.
Amy kept looking, but not finding any luck. She decided to call some owls to her that were near the ceiling, or any other place that she couldn't reach. Some of the dumber owls would just fly above her head when they called her, or miss her arm. Amy was growing impatient, and pulled out a dead mouse in her pocket that Millie killed that morning. Amy was going to give it to the owl that was sending her letter, but she forgot all about it.
Amy caught an owl, but wasn't sure if it was his or not, it had some loose string attached to it, but no letter or package. "Is this the owl?" she questioned as the owl gnawed on the mouse.

What did the owl look like? Seth was horrible at descriptions. "Um..its gray....with some brown..." he vaguely replied. Feeling stupid he turned back to the squares that the owls stayed in. Has he looked he thought, maybe the owl hadn't gotten there yet.
He turned to Amy when she asked a question. "No, my owl a little bigger." he explained. Right has he said it a package hit him on the head, rolled off his shoulders and into his hands. He put his hand on his head while he looked up. There it was his owl pointlessly flying around above him.

Amy shrugged as she let the owl go, along with the dead mouse. She saw a package hit his head and looked up with him. She giggled seeing that his owl was flying above him with no goal what so ever. She then looked at Seth, who seemed a little confused and a little flustered.
Millie flinched as if the package had hit her head. She saw the owl flying above and instantly hid behind Amy's robes. She hissed at the owl, warning it not to come down. Amy rolled her eyes as she picked up the 'brave' cat. The cat tried to bury herself into Amy's arms, trying not to look at any of the owls at the Owlry.
The flying owl eventually grew tired and landed on a bird stand. Amy headed for the owl and Millie ran out of her arms. Millie hid behind Seth's robes, not wanting to get near any more of the owls. "Gorgous owl," Amy exclaimed as she drew the last mouse she had out of her robe.

Seth looked down at the package in his hand. The bulk part was cookies in plastic wrap with a letter attached on the outside. He looked at the owl that had landed on a perch. "Thanks Annie." he said plainly. He looked down at the cat that ducked behind his legs, cute.
He gave a small smile at the complement to the owl. "Its the family owl. My mom loves her, she refuses to get another." he explained. Even though he didn't like that the owl was a bit late but at least it got the package to him.
He looked down at the cat again to see if it was still there. He didn't want to step on it. "Whats your cats name?"

Amy smiled, as she gently petted the owl with one finger. The owl kept chewing on the mouse when finally it came out of Amy's hand. Millie looked up at Seth with her brown chocolate eyes. She crouched, and meowed at him as if to say 'sorry.' Amy looked at her cat, "Millie, she loves people, but doesn't like other animals," Amy exclaimed not looking at Seth. Millie still looked at Seth, her ears pinned back, and tried to melt into the floor.
Amy laughed as the owl was struggling to keep hold of the mouse. She finally held it in her hand as the owl pecked like a hungry chicken eating the remains of the mouse. "And I'm Amy, she reminded him, a little annoyed that she was called Annie. She continued to stroke the owls head, loving it tenderly.

Seth laughed, "I was talking to the owl, Amy." he stated. "Her name is Annie." he explained. He looked back down at the cat that was still around his legs. At this point he didn't know what to say so he took a look at his package that he got.
He took the letter of the front of the package and read it. It was the basic everyone's fine love you, blah, blah, blah. He folded it and put it in his pocket. He unwrapped the package to reveal a dozen chocolate chip cookies. He picked out one and ate it. "You want one?" he asked with is mouth partly full. The cookies were really soft.
