DADA-Class 2- 4th-5th Year

[Professor Sara Jade]

Another weekend had past and there Sara was on a Monday morning coffee in hand going down the stairs. So far the school year was going along smoothly and she only hoped that it would stay that way. Walking up to the classroom she muttered under her breath and the door opened on its own. The room was clean and already set up in the rows for students to sit two to a desk. Taking he spot at the front desk she took a seat with a heavy sigh. She just wanted to relax before class started. She sat her drink down then got out the daily prophet that she had tucked under her left arm. Laying it down in front of her she was soon focused on the front page story while she sipped her coffee.

Scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, and a hot chocolate made for a magical morning. Breakfast was the only thing to look forward to in the mornings. After finishing her delicious breakfast she made her way up the steps to her first class. Defense Against the Dark Arts was an interesting class at least, she thought. Now if only she could master spells quicker. She didn't like having to practice in front of others but she knew it was necessary. Once she was on the right floor she made her way to the classroom where she found the door open. She was first to class so she silently took a seat in the middle and got out her book. She decided to crack it open while she waited for class to start.

[Jordan Lane]

Jordan was never really a morning person. Its not that he hated it he just preferred to get up a little later in the day. And he never seemed hungry in the morning. He skipped breakfast yet again and made his way from the common room to the classroom. he never really appreciated the need for this class until his time during the maze. He would never forget that night with Siva and Jay. He was just grateful that they were both experienced. Upon walking in the room he say that Isis was already there reading her book. And the professor was busy reading the paper. Taking a seat next to Isis he quietly sat there not wanting to disturb her. And now he waited for class to start. He did steal a few glances at the pages she was reading but he couldn't make out what just yet.

[Seth Mackenzie]

Getting up from the slytherin table he headed for class. He looked around for Siva but he knew that it was a little impossible to see her in the crowd of students. Leaving the great hall he started the long climb up the moving staircase before reaching the sixth floor. When he found the room he entered to find two other students were already there. Taking a seat in the front he got out his things and hoped class would start soon. And he hoped they would get to practice a spell.

Sara looked at the clock to see that it was time for her class to begin. "All right students. Time to learn." She sat her paper to the side and took the last sip of her coffee. Getting up from her desk she walked around the front and faced her students. "Today we will be learning the spell Relashio. Can anybody tell me what it does?"

[Siva Tucker]

Siva made it to class just in time. The professor was just getting started when she took her seat next to Seth. She got her things out and turned her attention to the professor. Siva raised her hand waiting for acknowledgment. "Relashio is a spell that shots sparks from your wand.

[Professor Sara Jade]

"That is correct Ms. Tucker. This is the spell that we will be practicing today. To perform this spell you just use the swish and flick motion. I will demonstrate in the practice room across the hall. everyone grab their wand and follow me." Sara walked to the back of he room and to the door waiting by it until all of her students were out. Entering the practice rooms there were rows of isle out lined so that one student was to a lane. "You won't have to fight anything today but you will have to stay in your lane. Each lane prevents the sparks from harming the others around you. Just step over the line." she continued showing them at the same time. "And with your wand, swish and flick. Relashio!" she exclaimed. There was a big bang from her wand and red sparks flew from the tip and out onto the lane then quickly disappeared. "Like that. Each of you need to pick a lane and practice. When you have mastered the spell you are dismissed." Stepping back over the lane and in front of her students she motioned them to the lanes then watched their individual progress.

Isis was always nervous when it came to practicing spells. Grabbing her wand she was determined to keep a positive attitude. Walking over to the practice room she gripped her wand and listened to the instructions. Flick and swish, got it she nodded to herself and picked the second lane from the front. She took a deep breath and stepped over the line. She keep muttering the incantation before she tried to perform the spell. "Relashio." And it was no surprise to her that it didn't work. Exhaling she concentrated on the spell. Sparks, sparks, sparks. Swish and flick. "Relashio." she had brought her wand up and pointed it right in front of her. Soon red sparks came from her wand and she smiled at her achievement.

[Jordan Lane]

Jordan was glad to hear that they wouldn't be fighting anything today. Grabbing his wand he headed over to the practice room and listened to the professors instructions. Picking a lane next to Isis he took a deep breath and crossed the lane. For a moment he thought that this was too good to be true. He froze for a moment and waited for something to come out of no where and throw something at him. When nothing happened he refocused. He, Siva, and Jay were in the maze not too long ago and was sure that this would have helped them. Then again they probably would have gotten into trouble if they called for help. Thinking back to that night he was ready. After the flick and swish he firmly said, "Relashio!". Soon red sparks were coming from his wand. He smiled at his achievement and practiced it one more time to see if he could get them to go further, which he did. Satisfied he left the practice room and gathered his things.

Seth looked at Siva when she took a seat next to him and answered the question. He smiled then looked at the professor as she instructed them to go across the hall. He made sure he had his wand then made his way to the practice room with Siva. Listening to the wand movement he watch as she produces bright red sparks from her wand. Wand in hand he found a lane in the middle and focused on the spell of the day. He was a little disappointed that they weren't prating an actually defensive spell. Stepping over the line he pointed his wand straight ahead. With a flick and swish, "Relashio!" Red sparks came from his wand and he smiled at his accomplishment. Looking over to Siva he decided that he would wait until she was done so he could leave with her.
