Beginning of Term Feast

Max slipped through the great hall doors and headed directly for the Slytherin table. She slipped into an open space some way down the table from Seth, studing the other Slytherins around her. Dismissing them she turned her attention to the teachers at the the head table, after that she let her gaze rove over the others in the Great Hall. Finding herself extremely bored, she pulled a book from her pocket and started reading. She didn't think she'd get any snotty remarks about her book, especially since the title readed, Torture devices and methods of the 17th century and now.

Laila entered the hall and found Jordan immediately. She quickly skipped towards the Ravenclaw table and took a seat next to him, "Evening," she said brightly, she was so glad to be back at Hogwarts. "Hey Ruby," she said, waving at the girl at that table, "How was your Summer?"

Seeing Sara step through the door I stood up and walked toward the podium and waited for the students to silence themselves. Looking around I smiled has another term was officially starting. "Welcome back to Hogwarts! Before we get on with the sorting there are a few announcements. First I would like to welcome the new professors at the school. First is Professor Spencer he will be taking over Charms this term. Next is the new Flying Professor, Professor Willows."

Smiling I took a step back through each introduction while I clapped hoping that the professors would stand up for a brief moment to let them know who I was talking about. "Students please be on your best behavior for our new and returning professors." I reminded them looking over to the tables that were mostly full.

"And last but not least this is an official warning. The third floor corridor and the forbidden is off limits to all students. Those caught will lose house points and receive a detention. Now, on with the sorting." I nodded to Sara so that she knew to let the new students in the great hall.

Walking back into the hall Sara faced the new students. Most of them seemed nervous, smiling she turned around and let them through the door. Walking past the tables Sara went to stand next to the tool. Picking up the sorting hat once it was done with its song she turned to the students. "If you will please step forward when I call your name. Please sit on the stool. I will place the hat on your head and you shall be sorted." she informed them, then began to call out the names.

Once she was done she took the stool and hat to a care taker of the school. Then she returned to take a seat at the table next to the Headmistress and a new professor.

Professor Shane Willows stood when the head mistress called her name, annoucing her new teaching position. She sat quickly, still no accustomed to so many eyes watchig her. She watched avidly as the new students were brought into the hall for sorting, she tuned out after the first few sortings.

Tuning in again, she noticed the other Professor, that brought the new students in, slipped into the open spot next to her. Shane leaned over and asked curiously, "Do you always handle the new students for sorting or does it shift teachers every year?" Her eyes flicked over the students again before returning to the teacher beside her, "I'm Shane Willows," I extended my hand, hoping I was being annoying or seening rude.

Sara turned to the other professor when she spoke. "I don't really know." she answered honestly. "This is my second time doing it. Guess you have to ask." she said shrugging. "I'm Sara Jade." she introduced shaking her hand.

Once Ms. Jade was done I stood up from my seat and approach the podium again. "New students welcome to Hogwarts. I hope your stay here will be has joyous has mine was." she smiled and looked around at the full great hall. "And now let the feast begin." I nodded has food began to appear in front of all of them. She loved to see the looks on some of their faces when it just appeared out of now where. Stepping back I found my seat at the head of the school. Once I sat down I looked around the room before getting some turkey and such.
