Bored

[Jordan Lane]

Jordan walked outside feeling bored. He had done all his school work and was now stuck with nothing to do. He figured he would just walk around for a while. He noticed that the day was kind of dark and windy has if it was going to rain. Since he didn't really care if it did rain, he roamed the courtyard until he found the fountain. He took a seat on the bench that was opposite the fountain, and sighed.

Laila looked out the window and realised it was about to rain. She loved the rain. Slowly she made her way down the stairs and outside. As she was crossing the courtyard she noticed Jordan sitting by himself looking at the fountain. "Jordan!" she called out, waving at him, "Hey!" Laila made her way over to Jordan and took a seat next to him.

[Jordan Lane]

Jordan sat back and sighed looking down at the ground. Finding some rocks on the ground he began to throw them in the fountain. He stopped once he heard someone say his name. He looked up to see Laila walking toward him. "Hey Laila." he smiled. "How have you been?"

"I've been pretty good." she replied, "I thought it was going to rain so I came down to check it out. I love the rain." Laila sighed, it had been several months since Laila had seen rain, let alone had the chance to be in the rain.

[Jordan Lane]

He smiled a little has she talked, he remembered that she liked the rain. "Now, why exactly do you like the rain?" he questioned has he threw the last rock in his hand into the fountain.

Laila shrugged. She didn't quite know how to answer this. "I'm not too sure," she said slowly, realising that she never had taken the time to think about this. Laila heard a clap of thunder above her head as the first drops of rain began to fall, "I find it calming and relaxing. It's just something I like..." she trailed off, feeling like a total idiot.

[Jordan Lane]

Jordan smiled has her voice trailed off. She was cute when she did that. Tossing his hair out of his face he looked up at the sky. It began to lightly sprinkle when he looked back at Laila. Now was the perfect time to ask but, the words were stuck in his mouth. He sat there with his mouth open, like a fool.

Laila felt the rain as in splashed onto her bare arms. She looked over at Jordan who had his mouth open as though he were about to say something. "Something wrong?" Laila asked.

[Ruby Harris]

Ruby ran up from the lake, she hated the rain. Once she reached the courtyard she noticed Jordan and ran up to say a quick hello. "Hey Jordan." she flirted has she bite her lip. "Oh, hi Laila." she said looking over at her. What was it with him always being around Laila? "Oh, well bye now. Don't want to get too wet." she explained before running off toward the castle.

[Jordan Lane]

"Uh, no its just..." his voice trailed off has he moved a little closer to her. He heart was racing has he tried to speak again. Has he was about to say something when Ruby walked up. "Hey Ruby." he replied dully. He always thought that she was really weird. Once she left he got back to were he left off. "Uh, about the dance...I really had a great time." he said quietly.

Laila smiled, "Yeah, me too."

[Jordan Lane]

Jordan smiled he was glad to hear that. "I was wondering, if you would like to go out with me?" he asked looking away. He didn't want to look at her if she rejected him.

Laila could've sworn her heart missed a beat. Had he just asked her out?
"I'd love too!" she said, without even thinking about it. She'd had a crush on him since the beginning of term and was ecstatic that he felt the same way.

[Jordan Lane]

"I understand if you don't...what?" he asked turning to her. Did she really say yes? "Really he said quietly. He was really glad that she liked him but still he couldn't believe his ears. By now the rain started coming down.

Laila's smile was almost a mile wide, "Of course! I'd love to go out with you." she repeated, throwing her arms around him and pulling him into a hug.
